UNISON Falkirk Council Statement on Workforce Budget Savings

On Wednesday 11th January UNISON Falkirk Council Branch met to determine the UNISON position on Falkirk Council proposals for cuts to your terms and conditions. After a lengthy discussion your branch committee decided to reject the Council’s proposals.

For this reason, we will not be balloting our members on the Councils proposals.

UNISON Falkirk Council Branch do not take the decision to not ballot our member lightly, however, it is clear that these proposals are so far removed from our aim of protecting our members best interests that we have no choice.

Our message to Falkirk Council is we will always be prepared to sit at the bargaining table where realistic proposals are up for discussion. Upon receipt of a realistic proposal we will be delighted to ballot our members.

Please be advised that we will write to you, our members, shortly with a fuller explanation and further details.
